  Misters Brown (J.R. Brown, public affairs director, WTB&TS) and Moreno (Mario Moreno, associate general counsel, WTB&TS) are Watchtower officials. I wonder what effect their comment might have on future attempts to gain recognition from government authorities as "ministers."

  Tornado almost got me yesterday :(

  geez, this is friggin maryland, we never get tornados..anyway at around 5:30pm (quittin time at work) i got notified that a tornado had touched down in college park, (my college, university of maryland college park) and had killed 2 people already and was headed directly in our path, it would arrive in like 10 minutes.. i went outside and it was black..the funny thing was you could see very clearly where the black ended and see clear sky right after that border.

  the clouds where movin fast.

  i talked to saffron online and told her to grab the kitty cats and head for a basement.

  Hey Stiffy,

  I did the flying around the Kingdom Hall thing, and I was having a HELL of a good time until some lameass spoilsport jumped up and said, "Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah!" and I exploded. Ouch! You can bet that left a mark.

  After careful examination of the photos I have come to the conclusion that they are HOAXES - especially that one with the flying cow and a font not found in nature - that you are perpetrationg to garner expressions of symphathy and affection from your friends here.

  ok so here is my life story:.

  joined the jw at age 10 (coming to this country) i had not seen my mother in about 3 years before...i lived with grandmother who was and still is a catholic.

  so of course i went from living a life full of birthday parties, christmas and new years to...not living!!!

  need some help from you guys.. i am a divorced jw (ex was never baptized) free to remarry.

  i have been seeing a wonderfull christian woman and have moved in with her.

  You asked,

  I need some ideas on the best way to respond to them. I don't want a DF and want them to leave me alone. I am doing nothing that would warrant a DF. If they want to publicly reprove me thats ok by me, just leave me alone!

  Like others, I wonder why you want to remain in their "good graces," but that's your choice to make.

  What if you tell them that you've been slandered and that you want the person making the accusation to either show their proof or receive the reproof they plotted to bring onto you?

  It's important, I think, that you use the "broken record" technique here: "I have done nothing wrong. I have explained to you the circumstances, and I will NOT repent from a sin I did not commit." (Repeat your broken record phrase over and over and over and over to get it through their thick skulls. You may also want to consider suing the person making the false accusation and the local elders if they decide to act on the word of one (repeat ONE) false witness.

  If you demonstrate the least amount of meekness they will take you to the ground and have their way with you like the wolves they are.

  In any case, expect to be disfellowshipped. At least go down with your honor and dignity intact.
